Ahhhh
Oh how I love Mondays. Spending all day with my little Maggie is the most wonderful thing in the world. Right now she is napping peacefully in her crib while I listen to some Mahler. I feel Fall coming, and I can't wait!!! The mild weather the last day or two has been so great. I've had all the windows open, and no A/C running. I love it. Fall is by far my favorite of the four seasons. Who doesn't love the Fall?
Well, what's been going on the last month or so since my last post? Nothing major. Lots of running around, doing this and that. Where does the time go? It seems like I come home from work, and a few hours later it's time for bed. I can't really say that I'm "busy" because I don't do a whole lot. I guess taking care of a little girl who's learning to crawl is a pretty big job, though.
I was doing really well with my eating until the last couple of weeks. I wasn't really "bad" but I wasn't as good as I should have been. Today, I'm back on track, though. I was a little concerned about my blood sugar this morning. I tested it just to see (for those who don't know I had gestational diabetes while I was carrying Maggie, so that's why I have the testing supplies) and it was 103 first thing this morning. It should have been more like 70-90. I'm going the check it again 2 hours after breakfast to see if it is in the normal range. I'll have to keep an eye on it, and maybe cut back on my carbs if it is still high. It probably wouldn't hurt to do that anyway. When I had gestational diabetes, the dietitian had me eat 30g of carbs for breakfast, 15g for a snack, 50g for lunch, 15g for a snack, and 65g for dinner or something like that. It solved the high blood sugar problem immediately. I also need to EXERCISE! When it comes to that I am just L-A-Z-Y. Gotta get over that!!! Does anyone else ever wish that we didn't have to eat? It's so annoying sometimes...maybe I'm strange, but I feel like our lives often revolve around eating. Not that I don't like food, but I think you know what I mean.
Well, I'm going to finish a drawing I've been working on. Hopefully I'll have more to say soon!
