Babies!
Brian and I are having another kiddo! The first trimester was slightly miserable, not as bad as it was with Maggie, but now I feel great! I have my energy back and don't feel sick all the time anymore. With Maggie, I gained a total of around 45-50 lbs and had gestational diabetes. I am 16 weeks and have only gained 3.5 lbs, so hopefully I won't get as huge this time. I get tested for gestational diabetes at my next appointment and I'm really hoping I don't have it this time. There's a 90% chance that I will, but I'm still hoping I won't! I've been checking my blood sugar from time to time and it has been normal, no matter what I've been eating, but my test strips are also expired, so who knows!
My brother and his wife are adopting a baby who will be born within days of my baby! That's so exciting! I'm hoping we both have boys since there are already so many girls in the family! But girls are pretty awesome, so that would be okay, too. I started to feel the baby move this week. He or She doesn't move a whole lot yet, so it's just a little flutter every once in a while. Maggie loves her new baby cousin, Grant, so I'm sure she'll be a really good big sister. I just can't wait for the little bundles to arrive!
My next appointment will also be the "anatomy" sonogram. They'll check all the organs and make sure everything is growing like it should, and they'll also see if it's a boy or a girl as long as they can see that area. I can't wait!
I think this will be our second and last baby. If we have any more it won't be for a long time. We would need a bigger house if we had more than two! We'll see what having two is like, and then we'll probably make up our minds for sure.
