Weddings, weddings, weddings!!!

We're all married now!!! Our circle of couple's friends are all officially married. Dave and Melissa were wed in December, Kaleb and Kylie last weekend, and Scott and Bailey yesterday. The weddings were all wonderful. I couldn't keep myself from crying when the girls came out in their beautiful dresses. That always gets me for some reason. Now it's time to place bets on who's going to have a baby next!
We had a great time yesterday with the Keran's. We rode together to Scott and Bailey's wedding. When we got home, there was a surprise check in the mail! I thought I would get one, but I wasn't planning on the extra money. I showed it to Brian (who had been talking about getting a new TV all day) and jokingly said, "Let's go get a new TV." Brian thought I was serious, so...we have a new TV now. I love it. It's the same brand as our old one and we got a great deal on it! We only spent about $20 more than the check we got in the mail. Brian's happy watching golf in HD. We still only get two channels since WTHI decided to quit coming in, but it's High Def and we have Brian's BOSE speakers hooked up to it. It's really the only expensive thing we've bought since we got married. We've been very fortunate with gifts and hand-me-downs from both sides of the family.
Well, I'm having a caffeine withdrawal headache so I better go get some coffee!!!

Mere Christianity, Book I, Chapter 4: What Lies Behind the Law In very broad terms, there are two explanations for how our universe came to be.  The first is the idea that the universe is here by chance.  I am not an expert on the subject, but the very basic theory, in layman's terms, is that the big bang happened and since then the universe has been expanding, gases have formed stars, matter has formed planets and moons, and on our own planet, matter has formed over the years into living things with minds, all by chance.  (How is that for a run-on sentence?)  The second idea says that "what is behind the universe is more like a mind than it is like anything else we know.  That is to say, it is conscious, and has purposes, and prefers one thing to another."  This thing like a mind made the universe and made things like itself, things with minds.  I know there are other ideas but most of them fall into one of these two categories. Things that keep me awake

Well, I can't sleep tonight, for several reasons. I am too excited about Christmas and Maggie's first birthday coming up. I bought her gifts online tonight, and can't wait for them to get here. I am worrying about a lot of things. I feel like some big changes are about to happen and they could either be really good, or really bad. I had too much caffeine today. Mostly it's the things I'm worrying about, though. I shouldn't worry, I know. But I do anyway. I just can't seem to turn my brain off. Maybe it's more anticipation than worry. I'm anticipating a lot of things right now. Yes. That's it. Anticipation is making me wait. Isn't that part of a song? Well, I'm going to move on to something else to try to make myself tired.
