It smells bleachy in here.

I just cleaned the bathroom, and now all I smell is bleach! At least it smells clean, though! I find myself getting rather bored when Brian works nights. I wish Maggie would stay up late with me, but it's probably good that she doesn't. Although, she was up until 10 tonight. We had a sort of busy day. We played a lot this morning after Brian got up and then we went out to run errands. It's kinda funny, I was going through some papers to find Brian's pay stubs and ended up finding a check that we never deposited!!! It happened to be about the amount we planned to spend on Christmas this year! Anyway, they cancel the checks after 30 days and this one was from August so we had to take it by there today to get a new one. I was really excited when I found it. We didn't even know that it was lost! I couldn't believe it.
After dropping that off we had lunch at Fazoli's where Maggie had a few spaghetti noodles and some bread stick pieces. We then headed to the mall to do some Christmas shopping. A week or so ago, Brian lost his wedding ring at work. He's not supposed to wear it there, so he keeps it in his pocket. It turns out there was a hole in his pocket and the ring fell out. While at the mall we stopped by Osterman's to see if we could get him another one. He ended up getting the exact same one for about $100 less. AMAZING! He now leaves it at home when he goes to work. I also got all my rings cleaned while we were there. They're all sparkly again! I didn't realize how icky they had gotten.
After the mall we stopped by Starbucks. Maggie fell asleep in the car, so we drove around for a bit to let her get some rest. We looked at used cars and decided we both like the Chevy Equinox...I think that was the one we liked. We were going to stop by Hobby Lobby, but it was packed, so we decided to head home. Brian played trombone until time for work. Maggie and I had dinner and I gave her a bath. She LOVES playing in the tub. She saw her reflection in the drain and was talking (yelling, really) to herself. I could not stop laughing. It was SO FUNNY. We played for a while and then it was time for Maggie to go to bed. I always get a little sad after she goes to bed, because I miss her!
I don't want to work tomorrow...but since I have to, I better start winding down for the night. BYE!

  2. You sound like me! I'm always sad when my kids go to bed...well at least when I'm here by myself...which is happening a lot recently. I was actually relieved when Alexis decided she was too old to take afternoon naps! I guess that's what happens when your kids are so awesome!
Lately, I've beent trying to talk Kaylee out of playing next door during the day because I get lonely and miss her too much...but I let her play anyway:(
